Here, I will discuss an important term which make us confused in many times. That is all fiber is not textile fibers.

A fiber is a unit matter whose length is at least 1000 times longer than it is wide. All fibers can not ne textile fibers because to be a useful textile fiber it should possess some important qualities. It should have sufficient strength, length, fineness, elasticity, crimp, friction, power to react with acid and alkali, power to protect the effect of biological agents, etc. It should be available too.
Cotton, jute, silk, etc are textile fibers as they have the qualities mentioned above but fibers of banana tree are not only fibers as they do not pose qualities like elasticity, strength, appearance etc.

Therefore, It may conclude that all fibers are not textile fibers.
